Elevation: 588 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1930ft

Habitat: Quite local along a small drainage just north of the eastern end of Alpha Lake. Loose patch of several dozen vertical shoots in the upland ecotone on the edge of a beaver pond, in a narrow wet-mesic zone at the base of a 50-foot east-facing slope. Shaded beneath Picea mariana and Abies balsamea. In carpets of Sphagnum and Polytrichum mosses.

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Chamaedaphne calyculata, Gaultheria hispidula, Vaccinium myrtilloides, Acer rubrum, Alnus incana, Rubus pubescens, Cornus canadensis, Carex trisperma.
