Locality: United States, Minnesota, Cook, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Strongly rolling bedrock terrain south of Swan Lake, 16 miles northwest of Grand Marais. Local along the southwest shore of Tote Lake. T63N R2W SE1/4 of NE1/4 of NE1/4 Sec. 14

Habitat: Occasional on a long low point, in a broad and nearly level shoreline zone exposed by receding water levels (down ~12 inches from early season high mark). This zone is dominated by patches of Eleocharis elliptica. Amongst cobbles and small boulders in moist organic muck, 2-6 inches above the present lake level. Full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex cryptolepis, C. utriculata, Juncus brevicaudatus, Euthamia graminifolia, Ranunculus flammula, Eriocaulon aquaticum.
