Habitat: Frequent in a small shallow stream (South Brule River) ~1/4-mile upstream from (west of) the west end of Swan Lake. Plants submerged in water ~12-18 inches deep. Deep silty mucky substrate. Slow but noticeable current. Full sun to partial shade of the adjacent boggy forest.
Associated Species: Associates include Potamogeton spirillus, P. epihydrus, P. alpinus, Eleocharis acicularis. Also forming small dense patches on the mucky (to silty) shoreline, here associated with Sagittaria latifolia, Eleocharis acicularis.
