Habitat:
Uncommon and local in sedge meadow in a small (3-acre) basin along the drainage south of Prune Lake. This beaver-created meadow is dominated by Carex utriculata. (Frequent snags of stunted Picea mariana suggest this wetland was a poor conifer swamp or spruce bog prior to flooding and the subsequent dam failure.) Forming clumps. Saturated peat. Full sun.
