Habitat: Occasional to frequent locally in sedge meadow in a small (3-acre) basin along the drainage south of Prune Lake. This beaver-created meadow is dominated by Carex utriculata. (Frequent snags of stunted Picea mariana suggest this wetland was a poor conifer swamp or spruce bog prior to flooding and the subsequent dam failure.) Saturated peat. Full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Calla palustris, Epilobium leptophyllum, Viola pallens, Glyceria canadensis, Calamagrostis canadensis, Scirpus atrocinctus, S. cyperinus.
