Habitat:
Occasional to frequent locally in sedge meadow in a small (3-acre) basin along the drainage south of Prune Lake. This beaver-created meadow is dominated by Carex utriculata. (Frequent snags of stunted Picea mariana suggest this wetland was a poor conifer swamp or spruce bog prior to flooding and the subsequent dam failure.) Saturated peat. Full sun.

Additional associates include Calla palustris, Epilobium leptophyllum, Viola pallens, Glyceria canadensis, Calamagrostis canadensis, Scirpus atrocinctus, S. cyperinus.
