Habitat: Very local in shallow water near small islands in the southern part of the lake. Occasional, in water less than ~3 feet deepĀ and also stranded just above the water level (down ~18 inches from early season high mark, due to an extended drought). Coarse to cobbly sand over sloping gabbro bedrock along a very shallowly submersed reef that connects two islands which are ~50 feet apart. Inflorescences only present on plants above the water line.
Associated Species: Associates include Eriocaulon aquaticum, Lobelia dortmanna, Subularia aquatica, Elatine minima, Littorella uniflora.
