Habitat: Locally common on Picea mariana in poor black spruce swamp southeast of Swamp Lake, south of Hooker Lake. Saturated peat. Continuous moss carpets dominated by Sphagnum angustifolium and S. magellanicum. Partial shade.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Ledum groenlandicum, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Gaultheria hispidula, Betula cordifolia.
