Habitat: Locally common along the eastern shore of Gore Lake. Entirely submerged in shallow water (2-3 feet deep). Detrital-organic substrate, adjacent to the edge of a shoreline zone of rich sedge fen. Forming rather dense patches here.
Associated Species: Associates include Najas flexilis, Nymphaea tuberosa, Sparganium fluctuans.
