Habitat: Locally common along the slack water flowage through a small peatland basin between Meeds and Caribou lakes. Forming fairly dense patches in shallow water. Rooted in deep muck in a Zonal setting (in deeper water than the adjacent near-shore zone which is dominated by Sparganium americanum). Upper portion of plants emergent; leaves erect. Full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Myriophyllum farwellii, Sagittaria latifolia, Hippuris vulgaris.
