Habitat: Frequent on the shores of small islands in Meeds Lake. Forming loose to dense patches in pockets of sand and gravel amongst rocks and boulders. Both submerged in shallow water and stranded on the shoreline up to ~18 inches above the present water level (lake level is down ~18 inches from the early season high mark due to an extended drought). Only the stranded plants have inflorescences. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex lenticularis, Eleocharis palustris, Eriocaulon aquaticum, Lobelia dortmanna, Equisetum fluviatile.
