Habitat: Local along the boggy margin of a small (~4-acre) pond north of Allen Lake, southwest of Caribou Lake. Occasional to frequent, forming loose patches in a narrow band of poor sedge fen on the southwest and east ends of the pond. Nearly continuous Sphagnum carpets. Quaking saturated peat. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Rhynchospora alba, R. fusca, Carex limosa, Scheuchzeria palustris, Utricularia cornuta, Juncus stygius, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Kalmia polifolia, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Andromeda glaucophylla.
