Habitat: Occasional on a broad point along the southern shore of Carl Lake. Loose colony in moist to wet, silty fine sand in a broad and nearly level shoreline zone exposed by receding water levels, due in part to a late summer drought. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis palustris, Carex utriculata, Lobelia dortmanna, Juncus brevicaudatus, Eriocaulon aquaticum.
