Occasional on the shore of a small bedrock-entrenched lake southwest of Goose Lake. Small patches in a setting exposed by low water levels (extended drought). Moist peaty substrate. Full sun.
Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, Dulichium arundinaceum, Eleocharis palustris, Calamagrostis canadensis, Muhlenbergia uniflora, Agrostis scabra, Juncus brevicaudatus, Lycopus uniflorus, Hypericum majus, Cicuta bulbifera, Triadenum fraseri, Euthamia graminifolia.
