Found August 29, 2020 growing on a standing dead tree (possibly oak or elm) in Kelleher Park (aka Cam Ram Park) in Burnsville, MN. Tree was at bottom of a bank at the edge of a low spot that sometimes is a marsh (dry at time of collection). Mushrooms were growing in clusters from about 3-20 feet off the ground. The tree was pretty much isolated with various weeds and brush nearbyon the hillside and some cattails in the low area. From the top of the bank fruiting it looked like a Laetiporus species, but as I decscended and got closer I could see the distrinct indivdual fruitbodies ranged in size from 1/2 inch to 3 1/2 inch caps and 2 -3 inch stems...many were individual but some were fused to each oother forming cespitose clusters. Color of the pileus was an egg yolk yellow and gills and stems were both a clean white. Felsh did not bruise or change color when cut. Taste and smell were not distrinctive.
