Elevation: 478 meters (1568ft)
Habitat: Growing on a low slope under Populus tremuloides, Betula papyrifera, Acer spicatum, and Abies balsamea. Species associates include Aralia nudicaulis, Eurybia macrophylla, Galium triflorum, Actaea rubra, Diervilla lonicera, Cinna latifolia, Carex houghtoniana, Trientalis borealis, Lathyrus ochroleucus. Locally more mesic than surrounding fire-dependent forest.
Description: Clump-forming and 90 cm tall. Ligule 5.5 mm long and glumes 5.0 mm long.
