Locality: United States, Minnesota, Koochiching, Access from the north on UT-151 from County Road 8. Specimen located along trail 150 m south of open field immediately to the north. Littlefork is the nearest town 10 km to the northwest.

Elevation: 350 meters (1148ft)
Habitat: Growing along a moist to wet, silty clay trail through surrounding young Fraxinus nigra and Populus tremuloides. Specimen is partially shaded and associating with Ranunculus acris, Cicuta maculata, Caltha palustris, Carex castanea, C. stipata, C. gracillima, Equisetum sylvaticum, E. arvense, Fragaria virginiana, and Rosa acicularis.
Description: Flowering. Clavate bearded lateral petals and sepal auricles well developed.
