Habitat: Growing in a low shrub poor fen 30 m from open water on the northern shore of Pearl Lake. Full sun. Surrounding pools 9 cm deep and surface water pH 4.7. Species associates include Menyanthes trifoliata, Arethusa bulbosa, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Salix pedicellaris, Comarum palustre, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Scheuchzeria palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, and Sphagnum magellanicum.
