Habitat:
Growing in a graminoid poor fen within 5 m of Pearl Lake's northern shore. Full sun. Specimen forms a 1.5 m circular patch elevated slightly above pools. Pools 26 cm deep. Species associates include Carex canescens, Carex limosa, Comarum palustre, Menyanthes trifoliata, Thelypteris palustris, Salix pedicellaris, and Sphagnum spp.
