Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Access from the east on Keyes Road (CR-520) and UT-3171. Specimen is 500 m south of UT-3171. Ray is the nearest town 17 km to the northwest.

Elevation: 387 meters (1269ft)
Habitat: Growing in a graminoid poor fen within 5 m of Pearl Lake's northern shore. Full sun. Specimen forms a 1.5 m circular patch elevated slightly above pools. Pools 26 cm deep. Species associates include Carex canescens, Carex limosa, Comarum palustre, Menyanthes trifoliata, Thelypteris palustris, Salix pedicellaris, and Sphagnum spp.
