Locality: United States, Minnesota, Koochiching, Access from the east on County Road 150 and Forest Road 81 (UT-42). Specimen is 200 m northeast of FR-81. Mizpah is the nearest town 9 km to the southeast.

Elevation: 401 meters (1315ft)
Habitat: Growing in a wet ash swamp dominated by Fraxinus nigra along a northwest drainage. Soil is saturated muck. Species associates include Onoclea sensibilis, Laportea canadensis, Symphyotrichum puniceum, Solidago gigantea, Cirsium muticum, Galium asprellum, Fragaria virginiana, Lycopus uniflorus, Stellaria longifolia, Equisetum arvense, and Impatiens capensis.
Description: Stem hairs spreading. Yellow petals 11 mm long.
