Locality: United States, Minnesota, Koochiching, Access from the south on US-71 and unnamed road leading to eastern shore of Battle Lake. From access road, descend 30 m southwest through 15 m wide thicket of Typha angustifolia and paddle on open water to specimen. Northome is the nearest town 4.3 km to the east.

Elevation: 416 meters (1364ft)
Habitat: Growing near the shore just beyond Typha angustifolia marsh. Associated species include Stuckenia pectinata, Elodea canadensis, Ceratophyllum demersum, Carex diandra, Carex comosa, Eleocharis palustris, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, and Cicuta bulbifera.
