United States, Minnesota, Koochiching, Access from the west on a logging road east of MN-65. Specimen is 1.1 km east of MN-65 and 90 m north of Little Fork River. Littlefork is the nearest town 20 km to the north-northwest.

Habitat:
Occurring on a low-sloping, wet Fraxinus nigra swamp among dense regeneration of five-meter tall Populus tremuloides. Other overstory species include Abies balsamea and Ulmus americana. Species associates include Solidago gigantea, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Cirsium arvense, Parthenocissus vitacea, Asarum canadense, and Equisetum arvense.
