Locality: United States, Minnesota, Koochiching, Access from the west on a logging road east of MN-65. Specimen is 1.2 km east of MN-65 and 65 m northeast of Little Fork River. Littlefork is the nearest town 20 km to the north-northwest.

Elevation: 348 meters (1141ft)

Habitat: Occurring in a northern wet-mesic hardwood forest under a canopy of Fraxinus nigra and Tilia americana on moderately well drained clay loam soil. Old flood channels are a visible topographic feature. Dominant groundcover species include Matteuccia struthiopteris, Uvularia grandiflora, Asarum canadense, and Heracleum lanatum.
