Habitat: Plants are just leafing out (Desmodium glutinosum is only a stalk at this point). Several canopy gaps from dead trees down. CWD in lots of stages of decay classes too. Canopy dominated by Quercus ellipsoidalis with occasional Tilia and Acer in understory. Very little oak regen. Not many seedlings of anything. Most buckthorn is ~5-6 ft. tall and has patchy cover of ~50%. Heavy deer browse with a few rub/rut trees. Very high earthworm. No cut stumps. No garlic mustard.
Associated Species: Common Associates: Rhamnus cathartica, Circaea lutetiana var. canadensis, Desmodium glutinosum, and Fraxinus pennsylvanica.
