Habitat: Spruce budworm impacting fir heavily, and starting to impact black spruce. on edge of rock outcrop - soil increases to east. Moose dung observed; no deer droppings. No cut stumps observed. Large boulders scattered through plot.
Associated Species: Common Associates: Maianthemum canadense, Clintonia borealis, Cornus canadensis, and Lycopodium clavatum.
