Habitat: Even aged aspen stand apparently close to water table. Stand is young. Moderate amount of Corylus in understory. Not much evidence of deer browse effects. Forest with mix of wet and dry species - Pteridium growing next to Doellingeria and Cirsium muticum. Several old trails still present from previous harvest.
Associated Species: Common Associates: Rubus pubescens, Eurybia macrophylla, Maianthemum canadense, and Galium triflorum var. triflorum.
