Habitat: Sphagnum transitions from patchy to more abundant and covering the bases of high hummocks towards the E. Sphagnum angustifolium is the dominant sphagnum species. Abundant cover of Betula pumila and Alnus incana throughout. More shade tolerant species underneath shrubs. Dense Carex lacustris thatch to west transitioning to Sphagnum dominated substrate. Pools of water surrounded by Carex interior and C. brunnescens.
Associated Species: Common Associates: Carex lacustris, Alnus incana subsp. rugosa, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, and Betula pumila.
