Habitat: Water slightly above peat surface. Continuous coverage of non-sphagnum bryophyte species. Carex lasiocarpa dominated fen with Carex diandra, Carex chordorrhiza. Scattered tamarack shrubby area to the northwest. pH above 7. Sedge mat bouncy.
Associated Species: Common Associates: Carex lasiocarpa subsp. americana, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Campanula aparinoides, and Symphyotrichum boreale.
