Steep sandy knob in sand/gravel prairie dominated by little bluestem. Sweet clover and spotted knapweed present in areas. Restricted to a few 5m x 5m patches on steep sandy knob. No other individuals were located away from the denser population.
Common Associates: Schizachyrium scoparium, Achillea millefolium, Solidago nemoralis, and Centaurea strobe
