Habitat: Many cut stumps, occasional boulder, occaisonal canopy gap from dying black ash. Duff compaction from earthworms, lots of exposed roots. Forest floor very unvegetated. Deer browse present even on sugar maple understory. Forest slopes away from nearby ag field. Piles of firewood stacked nearby.
Associated Species: Common Associates: Acer saccharum, Arisaema triphyllum, Circaea lutetiana var. canadensis, and Geranium maculatum.
Description: Unable to determine variety (var. caricetorum or var. nitidus)
