Habitat: Water just above peat level - some small hummocks and hollows. Neutral pH. Typha is encroaching. High species diversity for now. Mixture of wet prairie, rich fen, and wet meadow. Species from all three are present. Subtle beach ridge to the east with Populus tremuloides.
Associated Species: Common Associates: Muhlenbergia glomerata, Schoenoplectus pungens, Carex pellita, and Juncus arcticus var. balticus.
