Locality: United States, Minnesota, Beltrami, Red Lake Reservation, 156 meters south of upper red lake shoreline; 760 meters north of Reservation road 25; 17.5 miles southwest of Waskish.

Habitat: Mesic hardwood forest on the north side of Ponemah Point (between upper and lower Red lake), which creates a microclimate for rich, outlier species. Forest is dominated by Acer saccharum and Tilia americana with occasional Thuja occidentalis, Ulmus americana and Fraxinus nigra. Open understory and deep shade.
Associated Species: Associates include Caulophyllum thalictroides, Elymus hystrix, Maianthemum racemosa.
