Occasional in narrow, rich fen floating mat surroudning small pond within Larix dominated swamp.
Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, Carex diandra, Potentilla palustris, Carex chordorhiza. Brown mosses dominate, with lesser amounts of Sphagnum.
