Habitat: Common on low, dry Thuja occidentalis hummocks. Outer ring of this cedar swamp is somewhat on the drier side before it transitions to a larger interior dominated by wetter tamarack swamp with larger Sphagnum hummocks.
Associated Species: Associates include Maianthemum trifolium, Carex leptalea, Rhododendron groenlandicum, Trientalis borealis, Cornus canadensis, Vaccinium myrtilloides. Patchy Sphagnum.
