Habitat: Common in diverse, somewhat transitional forest on narrow band of upland on south side of Gull Lake.
Associated Species: Canopy of Thuja occidentalis, Pinus strobus, Betula papyrifera, Abies balsamea, Fraxinus nigra and Acer spicatum. Other associates include Caulophyllum thalictroides, Sanguinaria canadensis, Solidago flexicaulis, Anemone quinquefolia.
