Habitat: A few scattered locally in Tilia americana forest adjacent to Lindgren Lake (northwest side). Very open wet-mesic forest.

Associated Taxa: Other species include Caulophyllum thalictroides, Asarum canadense, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Asarum canadense, Uvularia grandiflora, Laportea canadensis, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Anemone quinquefolia, Carex deweyana. Loamy soils.
