Habitat: Occasional in poor fen surrounding small pond. Dominated by Chamaedaphne calyculata with Carex lasiocarpa common.
Associated Species: Stunted, scattered Picea mariana and Larix laricina common. Other associates include Potentilla palustris, Carex chordorrhiza, Andromeda polifolia, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Scheuchzeria palustris.
