Locality: United States, Minnesota, Beltrami, Northeast side of Nelson Dam Road on hill slope; 1.6 miles northwest of Pinewood.

Habitat: Occasional on steep bank that is part of the Nelson Dam on the Clearwater River. Soils are silty/rocky. Although somewhat disturbed, there are many native species growing here, which don't appear planted.
Associated Species: Growing in sun with Symphyotrichum laeve, Trifolium pratense, Andropogon gerardii, Solidago canadensis, Poa pratensis, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Maianthemum stellatum, Astragalus neglectus, Menispermum canadense.
