United States, Minnesota, Beltrami, Northeast side of Nelson Dam Road on hill slope; 1.6 miles northwest of Pinewood.

Occasional on steep bank that is part of the Nelson Dam on the Clearwater River. Soils are silty/rocky. Although somewhat disturbed, there are many native species growing here, which don't appear planted.
Growing in sun with Symphyotrichum laeve, Trifolium pratense, Andropogon gerardii, Solidago canadensis, Poa pratensis, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Maianthemum stellatum, Astragalus neglectus, Menispermum canadense.
