Habitat: Associated with a vernal pool (now only muddy) in a mesic deciduous forest. Dominated by Acer saccharum and Tilia americana. Other sedges collected in this habitat include: Carex lupulina, C. retrorsa, C. alopecoidea, C. cristatella.
