Habitat: Riverbank, under canopy of Acer rubrum in shrub swamp woth Rosa sp., Alnus incana, Carex stricta. Multi-stemmed shrub, 2 m tall, smooth silver-gray bark. Flowers white. Leaves folded along midrib as they emerge from bud. All duplicates collected from one individual. Distribution list: BRU, NEBC, MIN
