Habitat: Growing near the eastern shoreline of Minnesota Lake (ID 47014000), a shallow 115 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Subsection. Moderate water clarity. Lake almost entirely Typha-fringed. Locally common. Found drifting throughout water column in 1.4 meters of water.
Substrate: Soft, muck substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Potamogeton zosteriformis, Spirodela polyrrhiza.
