Habitat: Growing near the southwest shoreline of Willie Lake (ID 47006100), a shallow 200 acre eutrophic basin situated at the convergence of the Minnesota River Prairie and Big Woods subsections. Poor water clarity. Majority of shoreline undeveloped. Forming small stands along the southwest shoreline in 1.2 - 1.4 meters of water.
Substrate: Sand substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Potamogeton natans.
