Habitat: Found growing in the western half of Sarah Lake (ID 27019100), a 550 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Big Woods Subsection. Semi-sheltered from wave action by stand of Typha sp. Locally abundant on surface and throughout water column at 0.3 meters of depth.
Substrate: Soft, muck substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Spirodela polyrrhiza, Ceratophyllum demersum, Myriophyllum spicatum.
