Habitat: Growing on the north side of Horseshoe Lake (ID 73015700), a 630 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Hardwood Hills Subsection. Part of the Sauk River Chain of Lakes, locally referred to as the Horseshoe Chain. ~300 meters south of the public water access. Locally common in an area of slow flow coming from the Sauk River. Growing in 1 meter of water.
Substrate: Firm bottom, silt substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Nymphaea odorata, Potamogeton crispus, Ceratophyllum demersum, Spirodela polyrrhiza, Lemna trisulca, Zizania palustris.
