Habitat: Found growing in the northeast arm of Cedar Island Lake (ID 73013300), a 1,000 acre hypereutrophic basin situated in the Hardwood Hills Subsection. Part of the Sauk River Chain of Lakes, locally referred to as the Horseshoe Chain. The northeast arm is also known as Koetter Lake. Locally abundant. Submerged in 0.6 meters of water.
Substrate: Sand-silt substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Ceratophyllum demersum, Potamogeton crispus, Heteranthera dubia, Spirodela polyrrhiza, Nymphaea odorata.
