Habitat:
Growing near the northwest shoreline of Cedar Island Lake (ID 73013300), a 1,000 acre hypereutrophic basin situated in the Hardwood Hills Subsection. Part of the Sauk River Chain of Lakes, locally referred to as the Horseshoe Chain. The northwest basin is also known as East Lake. Locally scattered in sheltered bay. Flowers held just above the water's surface. Found in 0.5 meters of water.

Associated Species:
Associated with Nymphaea odorata, Ceratophyllum demersum, Elodea canadensis, Lemna trisulca, Spirodela polyrrhiza.
