Locality: United States, Minnesota, Winona, Whitewater State Park. Approx. 34 meters west of Trout Run hiking trail; 0.35 miles east of MN Trunk Hwy 74; 3.5 miles southwest of Elba.

Habitat: Collected on terrace close to Trout Run river. Very open understory.
Substrate: Loamy soil.
Associated Species: Canopy dominated by Fraxinus nigra with Tilia americana, Acer saccharum and Carya cordiformis. Carpinus caroliniana common in the understory. Ground layer associates include Caulophyllum thalictroides, Laportea canadensis, Galium aparine, Viola sp., Enemion biternatum, Maianthemum racemosum, Hydrophyllum virginianum, Geranium maculatum.
