Habitat: Somewhat common locally on southwest facing bluff prairie that has received some management but still has significant cover of Rhus glabra. Some openings without shrubs have decent diversity.
Associated Species: Associates include Bouteloua curtipendula, B. hirsuta, Tradescantia occidentalis, Schizachyrium scoparium, Amorpha canescens, Melilotus alba, Verbena hastata, Liatris aspera, Desmodium illinoensis, Monarda fistulosa.
