Locality: United States, Minnesota, Winona, Great River Bluffs State Park. Approx. 0.25 meters west of New Harford Twp. Rd 28; 0.25 miles north of Interstate 90; 1.75 miles northwest of Dakota.

Habitat: Approx. 20 plants growing in sun on southwest facing bluff prairie among several small sandstone outcrops. Not seen elsewhere in this somewhat overgrown bluff.
Substrate: Growing in pure sand.
Associated Species: Growing with abundant Hedeoma hispida as well as Schizachyrium scoparium, Bouteloua curtipendula and B. hirsuta, Lobelia kalmii, Scutellaria leonardii, Tradescantia occidentalis, Asclepias verticillata, Campanula rotundifolia.
