Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle State Forest. Approx. 0.50 miles up the creek from Lake of the Woods shoreline; 5.30 miles south of Young's Bay Marina.

Habitat: Commonly found at the headwaters of Pickeral creek, which drains from a large cedar-black spruce swamp. This location was slow moving and shallow.
Associated Species: Associates include Elodea canadensis, Sparganium sp., Lemna turionifera in the water and nearby banks with Calamagrostis canadensis, Persicaria punctata,, Bidens cernua, Carex lacustris, Persicaria amphibia, Alnus incana, Eleocharis palustris.
