Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle State Forest. 0.35 miles south of Youngs Bay; 1 mile south of Young's Bay Marina.

Habitat: Rare in Thuja occidentalis dominated swamp. Growing under canopy opening near mucky pool. Only two clumps seen growing on decayed, moss-covered downed log.
Associated Species: Other associates inlcude Franxinus nigra, Abies balsamea (understory), Caltha palustris, Veronica americana, Symphyotrichum puniceum, Impatiens capensis, Maianthemum trifolia, Cinna latifolia, Carex pseudocyperus.
